O_O.....

I have been awake for over twenty-four hours...and I still won't stop to take a nap until 6:oo or 8:oo pm in the night....why is that? Because chemistry lab and biology lab ask too much out of an eighteen year old little girl. That and I've only had like one meal...in like forever...I am drained physically and wondering how I can keep that hyperactive smile on my face...wow...

AFRO-PUNK - ... the other Black experience

Liking this site, there needs to be more news on afro-punk as well as black goths, and black Lolitas. If anyone has pictures of the above....please post them here...our black brothers and sisters should not just be soup-can labelled to hip-hop, rap, and other stereotypes. (Yes, I'm black for those who didn't know lol XD) For some reason I find that I am friends with more people of other races rather than my own. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but for some reason I keep running into the stereotypes for all black people, so it always makes me wonder...am I the only black person who likes anime, lolita, heavy metal, visual-kei, steampunk, natural kei, mori, amongst other things Japanese? Most people call me an oreo (black on the outside, white on the inside) and it annoys the crap out of me. Why should the things I like just be for white/asian/whatever else people? Dude, I'm a person too and accept me for what I am...an awesome, mental, black person that's ready to rock this world.....deal with it. (sorry for the rant people...but it's true) If you have ever experienced some of what is above, comment and tell your story...spread the word.

Started thinking about marmite today, and realised that they do not sell marmite in the United States. Why is that? I looked on wikipedia...the only site that tells the real truth, and found:

Marmite's publicity campaigns initially emphasised the spread's healthy nature, extolling it as "The growing up spread you never grow out of." During the 1980s, the spread was advertised with the slogan "My mate, Marmite", chanted in television commercials by an army platoon. (The spread had been a standard vitamin supplement for British-based German POWs during the Second World War.) By the 1990s, another strand entered the company's marketing efforts; Marmite's distinctive and powerful flavour had earned it as many detractors as it had fans, and it was commonly notorious for producing a polarised "love/hate" reaction amongst consumers. Modern advertisements play on this, and Marmite runs a dual skinned website with two URLs; I Love Marmite and I Hate Marmite, where people may share their experiences of Marmite and are actively encouraged to fuel this debate, as prompted by the I Hate Marmite registration form.

Marmite purchased in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands is New Zealand Marmite, which has its own distinctive taste.

UK Marmite is available in Australia in the 125g size from several small imported food stores.

There is also an imported version called Our Mate which is produced and exported by Unilever's UK export division (Unilever UK Export). These are also sold in the 125g size and are produced in Burton on Trent, the home of Marmite and Bovril. The label states "Made in the UK by Unilever UK." What a day

Well what a lovely start to the day. The midterm essay that I thought was today, was set for Thursday. That's all good and well, but the grey hairs that I grew over the night wasn't good. Plus, I have work at 1:3o and I don't want to go.

Things to do for the rest of the day:

Do chemistry essay
Do biology lab report
Finish the rest of chemistry lab report, then do the pre-lab questions
Try and review for chemistry so I won't be screwed
Finish work at 6:oo
Survive
Try to go to bed at a reasonable hour for once
Do the same exact crap for the next day if none get crossed off the list xp

Anyway...creepin' today was a fail....if this "person" ever manages to read this, come to the damn Pirate's Cove you foo'! lol anyway good times, bad times...Amanda will always remain the same...a rambling puddle of genius!!!!
